Luxembourgish numbers from 0 to 100
Good news! Luxembourgish numbers are easy.
First off, everything is spelled together, in one word.
English is complicated that way. When do you separate number words, when do you hyphenate? 3,567 = three thousand five hundred and sixty-seven?
I have to admit that I spellcheck my numbers online every time I write a cheque in Canada...
Here is how you write numbers in Luxembourgish:
As you can see, there are very few exceptions in the Luxembourgish number system:
0-10: no real system here, but the words are similar to German so hopefully that will help you to memorize them faster
11-19: just pretty much add 'zéng'
20-90: add 'eg'
21-29: bring it all together by adding the Luxembourgish word for 'and', which is 'an' in the middle
So what is the Luxembourgish equivalent to 3,567?
